Caring for Your Luxury Abaya: Washing and Storage Tips

A finely made abaya deserves considered care. A few thoughtful habits will help preserve its colour, shape and finish for years to come.

Wash delicately. Hand-wash unembellished pieces in cool water with a gentle detergent. For embroidery, crystals or delicate finishes, choose a specialist cleaner.

Steam with care. A garment steamer is kinder to refined fabrics than direct ironing. Keep a little distance from the surface and use a low setting where needed.

Store properly. Hang each piece on a padded hanger and keep it in a breathable garment bag, away from direct sunlight. This protects the shoulders, fabric and colour between wears.
